A note from Peter Jennings, author of ‘Buckets of Porridge’

Peter Jennings, the author of ‘Buckets of Porridge’, shares a Christmas update
Christmas seems to have come early for me, having sold a number of books in recent talks. One arose from my radio interview, others from churches and even the local shop. I was waiting for the Post Office to open and a lady asked what I was sending.“My book’ I replied, “It’s about my 50 years in farming.’“Did you write it?’The conversation gathered pace. She soon asked for a copy which I was able to supply from my car. Sight of the cover enthused her sufficiently to ask for another book as a present.Today a chance meeting with a farm contractor not seen for over fifteen year resulted in another sale.I trust they will enjoy ‘Buckets of Porridge’ finding Christmas has arrived early. There is just time purchase from my site – bucketsofporridge.co.uk or a local book shop.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Buckets of Porridge is the engaging biography of a young city boy who applies for a rural job in farming, with a lifetime of learning ahead of him. Peter Jennings will take you into the real world of British farming and the solid faith he builds on the way.
With his personal story, Peter Jennings sends us back in time to the middle of the last century, when farming was a constant battle between man and nature; when times were tough and work was demanding, but rewarding.
“Whether you are a retired farmer yourself, reminiscing about the good old days, or a couch potato dreaming of a more natural way of life, you will find something to enjoy in this book.” – Michelle Ward
