A Valley Journal

A Valley Journal

'A Valley Journal' is a guide to surviving bereavement, with inspirational teaching and space for journal entries.

“There is little in life that prepares us for the loss of those people most dear to us, whether through a prolonged decline in health or terminal illness, or the shock and trauma experienced through sudden or accidental death.

This book has been written to help those who are grieving to explore the memories, emotions and thoughts around their bereavement experience, and at different stages of the bereavement journey.

Abi May speaks from her own heart and experiences to help guide others through their individual journeys, and her depth of understanding and compassion speaks volumes as the pages are turned.”

Abi May Author Bio

Abi May was born in the south of England, of Russian/Polish ancestry. Her conversion to Christianity as a young adult was a defining point in her life and the motivation for spending twenty-five years in the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East and Eastern Europe, where she taught and supported others in their faith walk. She now lives with her husband John in Staffordshire.

An experienced teacher of English (qualified with PGCE and CELTA), over the years Abi developed a talent for creative writing and editing. She has compiled and edited ten anthologies to date, with over 100,000 copies in circulation, and regularly publishes inspirational articles. Her work has largely centred on faith-based themes, although she also sits on the management board of a local health charity and does other volunteer work.

The tragedy of losing both of her children prematurely has had an overarching impact on Abi’s life, and much of her focus is now on bereavement support.
