About the Author

David Houghton
For nearly thirty years, David worked as a lawyer in financial services, a role he combined with those of a reader in the Church of England, a husband, father and grandfather. Then, as now, his interests included music, movies, sport and quizzes.
Retirement then gave him the time and space for another passion – writing; in particular, the twin joys of telling stories in the structures and rhythms of verse.
Endorsements and Reviews
Elizabeth Hogg, Transforming Ministry Magazine
This charming, illustrated children’s book, designed for 5-7 years olds … Written in simple rhyme, it features a conventional and happy family, and brings out the importance of encouragement, endeavour and intergenerational bonding. The story line is not overtly Christian, but the themes are of course relevant to Christian living.
