How Can God Hear a Man Like You?

£2.99£12.99

This gritty and hard-hitting true story demonstrates how the love of God can reach us in even the darkest of places. From a life of drugs, occult and violence to freedom, hope and peace, Glenn Walsh discovers that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

“Look at you! How can God hear a man like you? Your heart is corrupt and full of evil; God does not hear you! All your prayers are in vain!”

Glenn’s life had been a downward spiral of rebellion, alcohol, unhealthy relationships, drugs and finally experimenting with the occult. Having rejected God from a young age, he now felt too far gone to be saved, his life dominated by demonic oppression. Filled with violent thoughts and sometimes unable to control his actions, Glenn feared how he might harm his loved ones. So, believing that hell would be a small step from the hell he already experienced on earth, Glenn planned his suicide…

Paul Brown, Minister and author of Invisible Divides

This is a most remarkable supernatural story of redemption and reconciliation; it’s good overcoming evil, light over darkness. The writing style may be rough and ready, but the God story is sublime.

Glenn’s account of triumph in the face of adversity and hardship will give hope to anyone who finds themselves at the sharp end of life.

How does an ex-drug user and drinker from a fractured family on a difficult council estate end up pastoring a church in the salubrious surroundings of Sevenoaks?

Answer: he totally and continually surrenders his life to God. Glenn’s complete trust in God for both provision and power is breathtaking. I love his boldness and unswerving obedience as he follows God’s path regardless of the consequences.

What an adventure!

Col.1:13 says, “ He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.” Glenn’s story is about how dark that domain can be and how far you can be from knowing God’s mercy and grace. It’s also the story of how God can deliver you. No darkness is too dark for the light of God to penetrate. It’s the story of the life-transforming gospel that is available to all of us.

From the first moment Glenn shared part of his story with me years ago, I always knew it would make for riveting reading. And this book does not disappoint. The Bible tells us that we overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) and the word of our testimony (Rev.12:11). My prayer is that as people read this, hell will be plundered and heaven populated. Glenn’s stories are testaments of God’s faithfulness and signposts for anyone feeling lost or trapped in darkness and confusion. Once you’ve read it, please pass it on to someone else who needs it.
