Leah Jeffery chats to UCB about book on chronic illness

Author of 'Unjustified joy' was recently interviewed by Ruth o'reilly for ucb2.
On the 7th of March Leah Jeffery traveled to the UCB studios in Stoke on Trent for an exciting interview. She chatted to host Ruth O’Reilly about her recent book Unjustified Joy and her journey with chronic pain. Leah gave an honest glance into life with Ankylosing Spondylitis and discussed why she felt called to share about the condition in a book.
Leah reflected on the interview experience in a blog post, where she shared, ‘Speaking with Ruth O’Reilly on UCB2 was such a privilege and the UCB team were so incredibly welcoming.’ You can read the rest of the blog post here.
What is incredible to me is the way that God is using this journey to touch lives and encourage others in a way that I never expected.
About the Book
“One morning I woke up for work like any other day. There was nothing special about that time or that day. However, as I got up, it became quickly evident that I couldn’t move my neck more than thirty degrees without… ou-ou-ouch!”
Leah had emigrated to Australia and gained citizenship, working as a graphic designer. However, when a mysterious condition developed, causing increasing pain and decreased mobility, the doctors were puzzled as all test results came back negative. Eventually, Leah was flown back to her childhood home in the UK, where she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of the chronic disease Ankylosing Spondylitis.
