Retailers queue for a copy of Hope in the Main Street

Over 150 retailers and authors received a copy of Rob Cotton's book at a recent exhibition.

Author and Superintendent Minister, Rob Cotton, was a guest at the recent Christian Resources Together annual retreat. His book signing event attracted a great deal of interest, with retailers queuing at times to receive a signed copy. The book was also promoted in a series of publishers’ quick fire presentations by Luke Jeffery, director of Onwards and Upwards Publishers.

Rob’s book demonstrates how we can practically take the Christian message of good news and hope into our communities, based on decades of experience in taking his congregations outside the four walls of the building and running local and national campaigns.

Photographs of the event were kindly taken by Dave Lock, manager of Manna Christian Centre bookshop in Streatham.

About the Book

Rev. Rob Cotton demonstrates how our churches can engage with the community around, building relationships that enable social action, presenting the teachings of the Bible in ways that contemporary audiences can relate to and presenting Christianity as genuine good news.

Rob has led a number of churches, as well as being Senior Campaign Manager at Bible Society and on the leadership teams for national campaigns such as Hope 08, Biblefresh and The 2011 Trust (celebrating the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible). From the humorous to the heartbreaking, these stories from his years of ministry will equip you, encourage you and challenge you to bring ‘hope on the main street’.
