On Sunday 12th March, following the all-age service at Enfield Town Community Church, a crowd of over 100 joined in to celebrate the book launch of The Great Escape. As we began, I had the privilege of reading the story from start to finish. Then, after a brief dialogue with the children, Nathan, the Lead Pastor, came and interviewed me about the book – asking questions around the inspiration, the joys and challenges of writing, and the hope for readers as they engage with the story. During the event, the children were encouraged towards the colouring tables, where there was an opportunity to enter a free colouring competition and win a custom made t-shirt and a framed front cover of the book, signed by me and the fantastic illustrator, Hannah Stout. After a lot of sweets and many sales of the book, the book launch ended. We had a brilliant time!

About the Book
When Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, decides to force God’s children to work as slaves, God has a plan to rescue them. From swarms of frogs to swarms of bugs, what follows is the Great Escape.
And yet, God has an even Greater Escape planned for each of us.
