The King’s Garden

£15.99

The King’s Garden is a captivating and beautifully illustrated parable, in which the realities of the Garden, the Fall, and our Restoration spring to life.

Adelyn and Paxton live in a castle with their Papa, the King. They love to spend their days exploring and playing in the vast garden he prepared just for them. One day they decide to go berry-picking near the Western Wall, where they hear the sweetest berries can be found. They have also heard tales of a strange and alluring tree that grows there. But this is the one place in the garden Papa has forbidden them to visit. Will they dare defy Papa and secretly travel to Western Wall, and if so, what manner of trouble awaits them there?

Anne Tibbitts Reitzug

Author

Anne Tibbits Reitzug was born in Washington State, U.S., the oldest of four children. As the daughter of a veterinarian and a pharmacist, she was blessed with a colourful childhood! Her many pets included a flying squirrel named Herkimer, a baby skunk and a plethora of ponies.

It was her grandmother who ignited Anne’s love for books and inspired her to become a teacher. Anne spent eighteen years teaching in the traditional classroom, as well as providing enrichment classes for homeschooled students. She has also taught many Bible studies through the years.

Her career took an unexpected turn in 2005, when she and her daughter Kate opened The Oasis Café at Sunrise.  In 2014 Anne and her husband Henry moved to Orkney, where she was inspired to write The King’s Garden, her first book. They now live near the shores of Loch Ness, in the Scottish Highlands.  Together they have six children and eleven grandchildren.

Note: At the age of thirty-seven Anne came to the Place of the Broken Branch and met the One who holds the key to the Garden. He waits for all who will cross the Bridge!

Illustrator

Gabrielle Streat (Thomas) was born in New Zealand. She was drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil and grew up surrounded by the country’s unique landscape and wildlife. This later inspired her to study illustration, gaining Diplomas in Freelance Cartooning, Illustration and Graphic Design. She then worked as a freelance artist from 2004. Gabrielle also tutored art classes and was the former manager of a city Art Gallery. Today her focus lies specifically with her own artwork, which is led by God and inspired by nature’s beauty.

Working predominantly in oils, she sells her work in both stores and local boutique markets. Her work has been exhibited throughout New Zealand, Australia and England. She has also done live prophetic paintings at church events. A life-long admiration of beautifully illustrated books, along with raising her young family, prompted her to further her studies in Children’s Book Illustration.

Gabrielle and her husband Liam now reside in Western Australia, where they homeschool their two delightful daughters. They are her fussiest critics yet!
